The impact of changes to adult social care will be assessed by the Adults’ Services Select Committee this month.

The Committee meets on Thursday September 22, at 10.30am, at County Hall, Chichester.

Earlier this year it was decided to no longer provide for moderate level adult social care needs, but for substantial and critical levels only.

The Committee will be discussing the impact of the changes, and will also receive a report on the prevention and wellbeing implementation programme.

Chairman Irene Richards said: “We’re currently carrying out a survey to encourage adults who receive social care and their carers to let us know how the County Council’s changes to social care have affected them.

“As we will be considering the impact of the changes at our September meeting, I would ask people to respond to the survey as soon as possible to help inform our view.

“We want to hear what has worked well, and what has not worked so well – all experiences good and bad.”
